Self motivation

Do you ever feel like this?? I know I do. Menopause brings along all sorts of side affects that sometimes really want to take over (fatigue, body aches, headaches, anxiety etc). This is me this morning! Honestly, I am away and have been keeping up my gym routine but also imbibing more than I would because I’m on “holiday”. So, I woke up this morning knowing I have a full cardio session due and I’m trying to find my motivation. Today she’s on a roll, I don’t know where I left her and she certainly isn’t leaving a trail of breadcrumbs to help me find her.

I’ve been here before, and I know I’ll be here again. This is where my routine takes effect and gets me through. This is my “self motivation” starter button. If I didn’t have a daily routine in place I know that the “fly by the seat of her pants” open schedule would give me the wriggle room to opt out. My daily affirmations help tremendously with that as you get to pick what you need help with on any given day. So today for example, it will be strength and motivation. I need to reset my way of thinking and remind myself that this is something that sets me up for the day and keeps me mentally and physically fit. In a nutshell it’s important. Resetting how I think will set me up for success and keep the ball rolling throughout the day. Ask yourself what you can do on days when you feel like hiding under the bedcovers and shutting out the world? Would routine help you? Is there someone in your life who could be your kickstart buddy? Could you have an alarm set to play your favorite “wake up” song? Whatever would work make it something you do even on your day off, have it be a friendly reminder that you are important and worth self love.
